For those of you that I haven't talked to yet, I subbed again on Friday. Fifth graders this time! They were awesome though and I can't wait to sub again when Grandma Bobbie comes back to Florida. Today we all went to the beach in the early morning to watch a surfing competition but it wasn't very interesting to the kids so we didn't stay long. We had gorgeous weather today, all our windows are open and there is a great breeze. It was very windy at the beach, although technically there is no beach left because of the stupid hurricanes! The waves were breaking right on the sea wall, it was pretty ridiculous! We use to have the best beaches, dare I say, on the East Coast!
After the competition we went to our next fav hangout...the park. We wanted to show Aunt Stephanie and Grandma the boardwalk, unfortunately the path was covered in mosquitoes. It still had a beautiful view so hopefully grandma and auntie got the idea of why we love going there. Sophia was very cranky the whole morning at the park. I asked Stephanie if she finally understood why I called Sophia the devil child...
Then we went to Target where Sophia's temper turned even worse...We bought the kids lunch there where they ate a combined total of 5 bites of mac n cheese! Anyway, here are some pics of our morning!

Today I have no pics to post but I wanted to type a quick update. I was a sub for a second grade teacher today! I was super nervous, especially since I didn't get the call until 730am and school starts at 755am! I subbed at Jen's school. She had actually let the sub coordinator know my name and put in a good word for me so they called me personally instead of me having to talk to the computer that assigns subs! Anyway, the kids were great and there were only 17 kids in the class so it was nice and small. Thursday I am going back to do P.E. so I'm really excited because if I become a teacher I would be most interested in being a P.E. teacher! Friday I am subbing for 5th grade and I'm nervous because 5th graders are a lot smarter than 2nd graders!

This evening the girls got bundled up in their new jammies. They are totally fleece and awesome! It is freaking cold down here! I think we might get into the 40s tonight! Paige didn't keep hers on for long. I went to a pilates class and when I got back home she was prancing around in just her underwear!

Yes, we still have power! I know these pics aren't great but its all I can really get without taking a video. It has been raining all night and all day so far. The wind isn't bad at all. In fact, at some times the wind is completely still. We are pretty bored here today. The good news is that once Wilma passes thru, she will be leaving us with 60 degree weather during the day...so Stephanie, make sure to pack your sexy jeans!

This is Emma preparing for Hurricane Wilma. Sike. I want to assure everyone that the Eagneys are fine and not expecting any damage from the hurricane. Grandma's house is hurricane proof so we can always jog down there! The weather should start picking up Monday morning so I will post again then....

This is a pic that Em took of herself. She is wearing the "poor Cinderella" Halloween costume. Her Nannie made it for her and sent it in the mail yesterday. It has a headband too and she will carry a broom and bucket. The costume is as gorgeous as a peasant girl's outfit can be! Nannie did a great job!!! We thank her very much! Paige is going to be "fancy Cinderella." We've had her dress for a while, it's a dress from our dress up collection.

The other day as Mike was going thru his computer junk, he found a tripod. He explained to Emma how to set it up to take pics of herself. She learned how to set the timer and pose and where to stand to fit in the frame. I posted a couple of the most interesting shots. She took around 50 shots in one day. She started as soon as she got out of bed and then when she got home from school she took a few of her and her friend Erin that came home with us.

Today is Grandma Bobbie's birthday. Not sure how old she is, but we had a great time celebrating her first "Florida" birthday! We had our friends and family over for a stuffed shells dinner and then we had brownies and ice cream. Grandma received a handmade quilt and two bottles of spa aromatherapy! She can't wait to use them when her spa is finally finished!
In other news, sorry I have not been updating every day...I have a grueling work schedule; I've put in nearly 9 hours this week already!!! Geesh! Not to mention, that includes a hefty commute of almost 4 miles each way!!!! I have been able to snap a few pics here and there though...one is of Emma trying on a bee outfit of Sophie's. She had to wear it while eating her oatmeal dinner. We had just gotten back from a boat ride that night so we had a quick dinner of oatmeal and oranges! Some pics are from the party too....Happy Birthday MOM! love mo

Mo used to look like this... I debated on posting this, but decided the world needed to know the truth. She has never outgrown being a giant dork. I think that she used to hang out with these other two guys when they weren't following Farmer Ted around.
Also, according to her, Greg would cry himself to sleep if he could find that Chuck E Cheese cup again. It was his fave!

Today I had my second day of work. The kids are really funny and so sweet. Sophia did pretty well again. She only lasted until noon (we don't leave until 1230). Ms. Jaime came to get me because Sophia would not stop crying. She was very tired because she got to play outside all morning. I ended up taking Sophia back to Em's class for the last 1/2 hour! Grandma Bobbie made it back to town last night. The girls are very excited to have a sleepover at her house tomorrow night.

Today was my first day at a job in over 2 years. I started substitute teaching at Em and Paige's school. I am also going to start subbing at the county schools, but I wanted to start out slow. It was an exhausting day not only because I was entertaining 4/5 year olds all morning with their non-stop questioning but also because I had to take Sophia to the "guppy" class. When we first got to her classroom she did not want to let go of me, but I had to get back to Em's class, where I was subbing. I let her go finally and she followed me but didn't cry (neither did I!). Thankfully I got to see her soon, when the fire trucks came for their fire prevention week show and tell. The kids loved the fire men and their big red truck. The boys loved the fact that once dressed in fire-resistent gear and breathing thru a mask the fireman sounded like darth vadar. I think the 10 closest boys turned around to me to say that! Although it was a mentally draining morning, yes I only worked 4 hours, I had a great time. All the kids were so sweet and wanted to hang w/ me. Probably cause I'm the "cool mom."

Yesterday I finally let Em and Pie play with their "fancy" tea set. It was a present from Nannie years ago but it is very breakable! They had a great time and were very careful. We even made cookies in the easy bake oven. I had to "fix" the recipe a little bit so that I could produce two mega-cookies instead of 8 itty bitty ones! They were delicious....

Well they were over working onour newthe pool that is being put in atour guest houseBobbie's house. The panorama photo stitch function doesn't work very well for stuff that is only 3 feet in front of you, but you get the idea.

Our pond and fish are doing very well for those of you who have been wondering. We have two large goldfish in the lower, bigger pond. They started out around 2 inches and are now 6-7 inches. We also have some smaller goldfish. The girls named the smaller ones Pinkie, Orangy and Blackie. Blackie (who was black when we got him) turned all orange over the course of a few weeks due to the natural sunlight he was getting. They are about 4 inches right now. The pond plants are going crazy as you can see. A lot of them were dug up from the side of the road and smuggled back to our house.

Today the girls went with Aunt Stef, Katie and Jenna to the Edgewater Elementary School Fair. They got dressed in cute outfits and were ready to go by 745am. Unfortuneately the fair didn't start until 10am so they had a while to wait. Em insisted on taking a purse. Inside the purse she packed all her essentials needed for a visit to the fair; roll-on glitter, a comb and rubberband, nail polish and about 3 dollars in quarters. She was so excited to be able to pay for things on her own. Paige quickly followed by packing her Halloween Cat purse with pennies. They had a great time and won lots of prizes!

Poor little Paigey! She fell asleep last night in the middle of dinner. I didn't think making her clean the whole house would make her that tired. Sike. She ended up sleeping from 545pm last night until around 730am this morning.....
Sophi loves chairs. Don't ask me why but she loves to sit in all shapes and sizes of chairs. This little chair is from a doll set Uncle Greg got for them last xmas. She is one cute lil' doll...

Some of you might be wondering where the pics are that I spoke of in my Sunday night post. Well, I had some technical difficulties and those pics have been banned from the internet. I will be emailing them out separately to those of you in my address book. There is not much going on today in Florida. We are having some funky weather due to the "tropical wave" that is lingering in the Gulf. It has been very windy the last few days with intermittent rain and sun. Yesterday morning we had some very beautiful rainbows...
Anyway, I'm posting a pic of a very cute kitty ...
Also, check out my friend Jen's website. She posts stuff about her cute boys and sometimes you can get a peak at an Eagney or two....

This weekend we had tons of fun! Saturday morning we went to Spruce Creek Park. We have been there once before but had not explored the boardwalk/observation area because it had been closed. The kids played on the playground for a bit then we took a walk on a path until we reached the observation deck. It was a really beautiful view. I think you can see it in the pic of Paige and I. Please ignore my hair-do! It was very hot and humid and I just could not look that glamorous.
Later on that day we went to Grandma's new house to check on the pool that is being built. The cement was poured on Friday so now it is just an empty pool waiting for a deck and some water...I will go back and take a pic to be posted at a later date. The Schrader boys met us at Grandma's house to check out the new princess room. They really loved it...After that we took all six kids to eat at our house, they had a great time playing dress-up while Jen cooked them bacon sandwiches (no, my girls did not eat bacon sandwiches!!). Actually, Sophia chowed on the bacon, but you know Em won't touch meat and Paige only likes the hot dogs! After dinner it was time for bath and bed. We were lucky enough to get a great babysitter that night (Thanks Jenna!) so that we could enjoy a peaceful meal of enchiladas over at the Schrader's house later that night.
Sunday was rather boring compared to Saturday. I watched a taped episode of "Ghost Whisperer." Has anyone besides Mike and I watched that show? I love Jennifer Love Hewitt so I keep watching it. I also love ghosts. Anyway, then I washed my sweet van till it sparkled. Somehow I managed to get rid of my kids again. Katie wanted them to visit her house so I dropped them off there for the day so that Jen and I could run errands. Jen got all her hair cut off and I bought material to make Sophia a new blanket and curtains. We are finally going to move the computer desk out of her room and paint it a pretty purple. I guess that is about it. Now I have to go watch Desperate Housewives which I don't like but for some reason keep watching....love that Bree! I'll tell you what......
