Next up, girls playing dress up. Sophia was forced into an entirely pink ensemble. She didn't mind though. Once she put on the heels she was ready for a party. Em was very proud that she dressed soph all by herself.
Paige, looking very satisfied at having eaten a whole cookie. Who'd have thought her stomach could actually fit a whole cookie? Um, you have some sap or something right there....

Also, while the Schrader's were over playing, Chris was nice enough to tear up half of our deck. We will be having cement poured there to make a new porch. I guess we need to have it torn up in order to get a cement estimate. Thank you VERY MUCH Chris!!! and thanks for the roof and thanks for using that sledgehammer to break up that other stuff. you rock. oh, and thanks for saving Survivor! Does that sound gay?

Don't be jealous all you NORTHERNERS!! Kathy and Danny finally made it down here! They are sleeping at my mom's house and hanging w/ us all day long!! Mike is really happy to have someone laugh continuously at all his jokes that I have already heard.

Paige was forced to dress in all pink by someone, not me, but take a guess! She seemed to enjoy it though. I was just happy that she got dressed herself and didn't have an arguement with me as to what to wear.

Okay... the good news is the spa was working. The bad news is... the pool was empty due to ANOTHER solar leak when we got over there. After playing around with the controls for a while and one support call to the pool company, the solar is now fully shut off until it is really fixed. Then we played around some more and got the spa, blower, heater, and filter all working together to finally get the spa heated for the first time. Here are some pictures of the new fish in their spacious 29 gallon home.

Em picked out the albino... it's the only fish they had with some pink in it and getting a pink fish was her plan from the start.

Paige got the yellow cichlid, and decided to name him "Yellow Fish", so that worked out well. Sophie got the blue striped jammie. He was the best looking fish there so I helped her choose that one.

Here is a progression of our day...We dropped Em off at school and then Paige laid on the "sick" couch for four hours. I cleaned and made phone calls and cleaned all the pukey laundry. Sophia kept kissing Paige's arm and rubbing her even though Paige was totally out of it! Sophia also entertained me by pretending to be a kitty (that is the cat's basket she is laying in!).The Dr. called back and said it was just the flu and not her ear infection.
Once Em got home, Soph went to bed and Em, Paige and I watched Hercules. Em set all the barbies up to watch it as well. Paige was doing good at the this point and asked for a snack of Cheerios and banana. After that she was racing around the house, but still complaining of a stomach ache. The girls had cheese quesadillas and apples for dinner. Paige conked out around 7pm...

Well, what a long night! I thought everything was going well until Mike called me in to look at Paige around 10p.m. As I walked in the bedroom she threw up. That continued until almost 5a.m. As of now she is still burning up w/ a temp and we are waiting for the Dr.s office to open. She has been able to keep her sips of juice down for 2 hours now but her temp is around 102.2. Anyway, we laid on the bathroom floor for a bit, but my butt didn't exactly fit in there so I moved us to the old couch outside the bathroom. Paige had to take a bath to get her warm because she had severe chills, also, she was covered in vom. That's all for now, I'll keep you updated!

Happy Valentines Day! Here the girls open their V-Day presents from their parents! They were very happy they got to open presents in the morning! I of course went over board and got them tons of little stuff! Although Mike says socks were a lame gift, the girls LOVED them! HA!
Later on in the day we went to Walgreens to get Paige's medicine and there was sweet racecar in the parking lot. I yanked the girls out of the car, Em was still in school, and had them pose!

This is Paige's ear. Gross huh? In case you hadn't heard, she developed some gross cyst like package behind her ear virtually overnight. I rushed her to the Dr. today, after her V-Day party of course, to find out that she has some skin infection resulting from dry skin (?) that somehow got infected and traveled beneath the skin! All I have to say is GROSS! The treatment: a 10 day course of oral antibiotics and heat compress whenever possible. And if I'm lucky I might get to pop it once it becomes yellow instead of purple!!!! YUM!

Haven't done a bunch in the past few days... Saturday Jen and I went to a baby shower for Jen's next door neighbor Christie. It was pretty fun and I actually won a baby shower game. I was so excited because I never win at that stuff! I won the game where you steal people's clothespins when they say the word "baby." To visit Christie's website click here.
Also, on Saturday, Mike, Jen and I went shopping and ran errands. We spend a chunk of our tax refund on some cute clothes for the girls. I'm about ready to go spend the rest of the chunk! The spring clothes are the cutest at Old Navy.
Sunday, I literally stayed in my PJs the whole day with the exception of 1/2 hour it took me to go pick up a pizza for dinner. Em, Sophi and I talked w/ Uncle Greg on the webcam for a good hour. That was fun. The girls showed him all their latest tricks.
We are having some record breaking cold temps down here today and tonight. We actually gave in and threw a blanket over our 2 orange trees and the banana tree. I think we might be too late though! We didn't do it last night and our banana tree is black! Something tells me that is not good, but we'll see if it can pull thru! I'm really worried about my fish. The pond is pretty deep and it has a fountain so it doesn't ice over.
The pics are Jen and Christie at the shower, the girls making Valentines and Em and Soph getting ready for school. Soph got to wear this sweater from Aunt Stephanie that we have been saving for a cold day. It looked so sweet on her! The old ladies at Walmart told me so!
